0-Introduction: Dear CSIFNS and community members, On behalf of the Board of Directors, we wish that you have had a great
1386 NowRuz celebration and may this year be full of success and happiness
for you and your family. As mentioned in the previous e-Newsletters,
CSIFNS is a non-for profit member drive organization. We are still in the
process of renewing the memberships. If you have not done so, please
confirm your patron-ship and renew your 2007 membership. Your collected memberships allows CSIFNS to provide the venues such as
seminars and networking events which members can benefit socially,
scientifically, and professionally to expand their network. A copy of
Membership application is attached for your convenience. ================================================================ 1- Tour of a fermentation facility: Sunday May 13 at 2 p.m.
An hour tour of Steam Whistle Brewery located in downtown Toronto is
arranged in order to learn about small scale brewery operation. The cost
of $8, includes the brewery tour, a sample of Pilsner, a Steam Whistle
Comic Book, keepsake black & white photos from vintage photo booth, and a
souvenir tasting glass or an opener. We will meet at 1:30 p.m. inside the
brewery store location. Feel free to bring friends and family members over

================================================================ 2- First Summer Picnic and meeting with the board: Sunday June 3, 2007
Location: Wilcox Lake Picnic area (Bayview and Stouffville Road).
We will gather at 11 a.m. under the group shelter area. CSIFNS members
are encouraged to share their suggestions and concerns regarding CSIFNS
with board members at this gathering. Please bring your own food and
beverage. Rides can be arranged for members by replying to this email.

================================================================ 3- CSIFNS Annual General Meeting: Sunday June 17, 2007, North York Chamber
of Commerce 1-6 p.m. In conjunction with our Annual General Meeting,
CSIFNS will also present a seminar on New Canadian Food Guide. At this
session the current board of directors will present their report to the
members and also a new board will be elected. Interested candidates are
required to present a brief speech to the members highlighting their
qualifications and their proposed plan for CSIFNS in 2007/2008.
